British Curriculum
To meet the challenges posed by innovative education of the 21st century, we introduce blended learning solutions by implementing the e-student program at the level of everyday educational activities. E-class is based not only on the use of the e-register, but primarily on the use of e-textbooks as part of the use of the latest solutions in the field of Information and Computer Technologies (ICT). Currently conducted studies illustrating the so-called The ‘learning curve’ ranks our national education system 10th in the world and the UK system 6th. The Pearson ranking is based on a combination of international research and education data, including OECD Pisa research and two main studies: Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (Timss) and Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (Pirls). The ranking includes higher education and international school tests. The solutions we propose are the synergy of traditional teaching methods with the latest trends in education based on the use of ICT equipment.
EDUCATION = OPPORTUNITIES
Compulsory educational classes at the International Secondary School in Zabrze take place in accordance with the Polish core curriculum approved by the Ministry of National Education. The British program runs 7-10 hours a week. The division of subjects on the British basis implemented in our school is according to the following programs prepared on the basis of the National curriculum in England: English, Mathematics and Science programs of study: key stage 3 and the International Schools Curriculum.
British English – English focuses mainly on key skills and competences: reading, writing, speaking and listening. We focus on the individualization of teaching by adjusting the program to the needs of our students and the level of English language proficiency. The Exact Path platform allows us to do such solutions, as it creates, on the basis of the placement test, an individual educational path in the field of Reading, Language of Arts and Maths for each student.

Maths – The program is based on the National Numeracy Strategy, combining theory and practice in various contexts regarding the knowledge about numbers, performing actions in memory and solving problems. The main aim of the Maths classes is to develop related linguistic competences with math. We improve our mathematical vocabulary and understanding of mathematical problems in terms of language. We develop mathematical habits by solving mathematical puzzles (Maths Challenges) proposed by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Cambrigde.
Science – Teaching Science is an experiment and experience, which stimulates, engages and supports students in acquiring practical skills while implementing scientific concepts, which makes learning an adventure and a challenge. The program covers the development of language competences in the field of nature, biology, chemistry and physics.
